Is This an Emergency?

If any of these sound like your house, skip the online form and call. Water keeps spreading the whole time the roof is open.

Water is coming through a ceiling or light fixture right now
Wind tore shingles off and bare roof boards are showing
A pine, oak or big limb came down on the roof
An ice dam is pushing meltwater into the house
A section of the roof is sagging or has caved in
Flashing has ripped away from a chimney, skylight or vent
Squirrels, raccoons or other animals have opened a hole into the attic

What Happens When We Get There

1

Tarp and Secure

Keeping water out comes before anything else. We tarp the damaged section and secure anything loose so the next gust or downpour doesn't add to the damage.

2

Temporary Repair

When a tarp won't do the job, we patch, seal or board up the opening instead. The aim is simple: a dry house while we plan the real repair.

3

Permanent Repair or Replacement

Once the house is protected, we do a full inspection, give you a written estimate and schedule the permanent repair, or a new roof if the damage is that extensive.

Help With Your Insurance Claim

Homeowner's policies are usually written with sudden damage in mind, like a nor'easter tearing off shingles or a tree coming through the roof. Whether yours pays is your insurer's decision. Our job is to give you solid evidence to take to them.

  • Photos of the damage taken before anything gets covered
  • A written account of what we found and exactly where
  • A written estimate your adjuster can work from
  • Straight answers when the claim paperwork stops making sense

Emergency Repair FAQ

How fast can you respond to an emergency?

Emergency calls jump ahead of our regular schedule, and we'll get to you as quickly as we can. Exactly how quickly depends on where you are in Southern Maine, what the weather is still doing, and how many other houses the same storm hit. Call (207) 731-8136 and we'll give you a straight answer on timing.

Do you help with insurance claims?

We handle the contractor's part of a claim: photos of the damage, a written description of what we found, and a written estimate you can hand to your adjuster. If it helps, we're happy to walk the adjuster through it too. What's covered is up to your insurance company.

What if it's after hours or a holiday?

Call us anyway. If no one answers, leave your name, address and what's going on, and we'll call you back as soon as we can. Meanwhile, put buckets under the drips, move furniture and electronics out of the way, and don't climb onto the roof. If the roof is sagging or power lines are down, get everyone out of the house and call 911. Our number is (207) 731-8136.
